I'm sure you're all wondering what is this app? What does it do? What is it's purpose? How did you come up with this idea? What inspired you to think of this project? Why do we need this?

Here are our answers.

This app is an app for citizens of Barangay Bagong Sikat. Just like any other social media app, this app informs you and updates you, but here it is only for governmental purposes. What is happening recently, what are the events, and what are the project in Barangay Bagong Sikat? You can find it all in this app "GovernMe". Barangay officials can post and update all the information you need to know, and answer all the questions you have. Each and every member of your community can comment, react, and even suggest their own thoughts and ideas to make your community a better one.

Now what is it's purpose? How did we come up with this idea? Why do we need this?

Just recently in our Empowerment Technology class, our teacher was talking about how important it is for us millennials to be informed about our community, and how it will be our responsibility in the future to be active in our community. It got us to think of our Barangay and our connections to it. Four of us live in Barangay Bagong Sikat and we have realized that all of us know almost nothing about it. We don't know our  barangay captain, we don't know the officials and we don't know the events. We know that there are many other millenias who are in the same situation as us and so we thought of this project, of this app, that will bring our us closer to our communities.

It is all for our benefit and for the benefit of making a more active community and a better future for next generations!
